EMS


Missaukee County's Emergency Medical Service provides 24/7 Advanced Life Support to the entire county as well as mutual-aid to the surrounding counties, and intra-facility transfers. Missaukee EMS responds to over 2900 calls per year. We currently maintain a EMS staff of 9 full-time members supplemented by part-time employees.

Missaukee County EMS is a department of the Missaukee County and is responsible for providing emergency care to the entire county, which covers 576 square miles. The department maintains 4 ambulances, all equipped at the Advanced Life Support level. A rescue truck is also located in Lake City and carries all vehicular extrication equipment in addition to other necessary rescue equipment.

It is the mission of Missaukee County Emergency Medical Services to provide quality pre-hospital care to those we serve. Our goals are to preserve life, alleviate suffering, and promote health and safety. We will provide services on the basis of human need with respect for dignity, unrestricted by race, sex, religion, or status. Through training, education and procedural review we pursue excellence in our standards of care and ethics, thus ensuring we remain a credit to the citizens we serve. Finally, as a publicly-held E.M.S. provider, we strive to ensure those persons living in and traveling through our area receive the highest quality emergency care possible.
